Dominated by Mt Epomeo, Ischia’s a small but mountainous island off the northern tip of the Bay of Naples.
With blossoming gardens, spa towns and jaw-dropping scenery, it also makes for a delightful day trip from Sorrento.
Pick-up from hotel or meeting point in early morning and transfer to the port of Sorrento. Check-in procedures and get on board on the ferry. On arrival to Ischia porto, get on board a minibus for a panoramic drive.
Pass by Lacco Ameno, Sant’Angelo and most famous highlights of the island. Free time before break for lunch before the next part of the tour.
In the afternoon, the next stop is the famous Giardini della Mortella, located in Forio. Created and lovingly tended to during decades by English composer William Walton and his Argentinian wife, Susana, they feature more than 300 rare and exotic plants, along with ornate statues and waterfalls.
At the end of the visit, transfer back to the port and return to Sorrento.
