Dominated by Mt Epomeo, Ischia’s a small but mountainous island off the northern tip of the Bay of Naples.

First up on this full day tour is the hydrofoil crossing from Sorrento to volcanic Ischia. On arrival, you’ll get to know the island with a panoramic drive to see its highlights. There’s a break for lunch before the next part of the tour.
In the afternoon, the star of the show are the subtropical La Mortella Gardens. Created and lovingly tended to during decades by English composer William Walton and his Argentinian wife, Susana, they feature more than 300 rare and exotic plants, along with ornate statues and waterfalls. Check out the views from the upper hill over the Bay of Forio, then enjoy more free time until it’s time to board the boat again.
